Xero’s transfer pricing, tax and finance teams are responsible for the accuracy and quality assurance of the Group’s transfer pricing calculations while meeting various tax and financial reporting obligations in accordance with local country requirements. You will provide support to stakeholders across the Group and drive various transfer pricing projects to provide a consistent reporting package to all stakeholders. As Transfer Pricing Senior Analyst, you’ll report to the GM - Transfer Pricing and be part of the Centre of Excellence team, which sits within the wider Xero Finance team.

What you'll do...

  • Supporting the GM of Transfer Pricing, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Group’s transfer pricing affairs . This will involve:
  • Ensuring that the transfer pricing policy is correctly reflected in the financial statements of legal entities.
  • Review current transfer pricing policies for alignment with tax compliance and business objectives and propose changes as necessary.
  • Perform analysis of proposed transfer pricing adjustments to ensure the material intercompany transactions are in line with the arm’s length standard.
  • Monthly review of the reconciliation of intercompany accounts from a transfer pricing / tax perspective.
  • Ensure that all intercompany transactions are priced correctly and comprehensively documented.
  • Assist in the annual preparation and submission of Country-by-Country Reporting.
  • Monitor and where possible improve the efficiency and effectiveness of transfer pricing processes.
  • Participate actively in training and developmental opportunities to further enhance transfer pricing knowledge.

What you'll bring with you...

  • Experience
  • 3+ years of experience as an accountant or controller in a MNE or in a large public accounting firm.
  • CA qualified or a law professional
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with business intelligence tooling (highly advantageous)
  • Specialist knowledge in Transfer Pricing reporting (highly advantageous)
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tooling such as Alteryx (highly advantageous).
  • Critical Competencies
  • Strong data analytical skills - ability to structure large amounts of data into clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to analyse financial reports
  • Ability to work independently and with a team with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to interact as part of a team as well as with various external and internal stakeholders
