How you’ll make an impact
As the Head of Sales Operations for UK & Emerging, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our businesses in the UK & Emerging markets while maintaining close connectivity with our global operations. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, managing operational efficiency, and providing strategic insights to optimize our GTM strategies. Your focus will be on driving revenue growth, enhancing customer experience, and delivering data-driven decision-making across our go-to-market functions.
This is a key position on the Xero UK & Emerging markets GTM leadership teams. The role will work closely with the UK & Emerging markets Country Managers and the wider UK & Emerging markets GTM leadership teams in ensuring we reach, engage, and grow our market share of small business customers through our partner, direct, and strategic channels. The role will provide strategic insight and support to the UK & Emerging markets Country Managers and wider GTM LT to help drive and optimize business performance.
What you’ll do
Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, and finance, to develop and refine the go-to-market strategy for the UK & Emerging markets, aligning it with global objectives.
Operational Excellence:Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness by implementing best practices, optimizing processes, and leveraging technology solutions to streamline GTM operations and workflows
Analytics and Insights: Develop a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscape through data analysis. Translate insights into actionable recommendations to improve sales performance, customer acquisition, and retention strategies.
Performance Measurement: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate GTM performance, including revenue growth, customer acquisition, conversion rates, customer lifetime value, and other relevant metrics.
Provide regular reporting and insights to the regional SLT & global counterparts (as needed).
Sales Enablement: Collaborate closely with regional SLT & GSE to develop and implement sales enablement programs, including training, tools, and resources, to drive productivity and effectiveness
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships with various internal stakeholders, including regional and global teams, to ensure alignment and effective execution of GTM strategies
Team Leadership: Build, develop, and manage a high-performing team of GTM operations and analytics professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities
Success looks like
Support the sales & marketing teams in achieving board-issued performance targets
Partner with sales & marketing leadership to understand needs and deliver meaningful, data-driven insights to inform their strategies and better coach their teams
Demonstrate attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting, dashboards and other ad-hoc analyses to decision-makers within the business unit
Serve as a business partner to our sales & marketing leadership teams, developing strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate open, clear communication and efficient issue resolution
Identify and determine best approach to solve reporting, process, and efficiency gaps with simplicity and scalability
Manage needs and expectations of stakeholders and business leaders at varying levels. Plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities
Develop and support the deployment of strategies for scaling the operations facing growth over the next 3 years.
Continue to build on our already great values-based culture that encourages innovation to drive successful outcomes for our customers
Collaborate with Regional and Global counterparts to enhance processes, systems, technology, and data to allow us to better run, improve, and transform the business.
What you’ll bring with you
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Extensive experience leading teams in GTM operations, analytics, or a related role within a SaaS company, preferably in the technology or finance industry. Bonus points for exposure to Accounting Software
Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with a demonstrated ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable strategies and initiatives
Expertise in developing and implementing operational processes and systems, driving efficiency and scalability
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, CRM, Tableau), with a track record of leveraging analytics to drive business outcomes
Extensive experience and comfort managing several concurrent projects of varying structures and types
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple teams and levels of the organization
Familiarity with the UK market and an understanding of SaaS business models is highly desirable
Price experience working in a global company with exposure to international markets is a plus.
