The Role

The role / impact

As our regional Customer Marketing Lead, you will hold a dual responsibility: developing a global strategy for Accounting and Bookkeeping (AB) advisory boards while executing local programs across Australia and New Zealand. You will transform these boards from simple feedback channels into strategic assets that directly influence product roadmaps and generate authentic advocacy for Xero.

Your work involves building a global blueprint to standardise how we engage with customers, ensuring their voices are heard by senior leadership and product developers. By facilitating meaningful sessions and gathering deep insights, you will help create a "centre of excellence" that empowers our partners to grow their practices while helping us build a stronger economy.

The team / how they connect

You will join a collaborative marketing communications function, working closely with social media, corporate communications, and performance marketing teams. This role serves as a vital knowledge hub, breaking down silos to ensure insights from our 12-member advisory council are shared across the global organisation.

Initially, you will focus on

  • Designing a scalable, global strategy for advisory boards across the US, UK, and ANZ regions.

  • Establishing standardised frameworks and best practices for selecting and managing board members.

  • Facilitating compelling workshops in Australia and New Zealand to generate strategic product insights.

  • Creating a content and communication strategy for active Slack channels to maintain year-round member engagement.

Where and how you can work

This role offers the flexibility to be based in our Melbourne or Sydney offices, or you can work remotely from within Australia. We embrace a hybrid working model that balances office-based "boost days" for collaboration with the autonomy to manage your schedule effectively.

  • You bring extensive experience in managing customer advocacy programs or engagement initiatives, ideally within a SaaS or B2B environment.

  • Your background includes a proven ability to lead and facilitate productive discussions among diverse groups of senior stakeholders.

  • You possess strong project management skills and an eye for detail, allowing you to manage multiple regional priorities simultaneously.

  • A data-driven mindset is part of your toolkit, enabling you to measure program effectiveness and demonstrate clear business impact.

  • You have experience driving digital engagement and managing online communities to keep members connected.

  • Your communication style is polished and compelling, making you adept at delivering complex information to various audiences.
