Position Overview:

The LMS Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining multiple Learning Management System (LMS) instances to support both customer and employee training. This role ensures that all training and compliance requirements are met, system preferences are configured, and that the LMS operates smoothly and efficiently. The LMS Administrator will also be responsible for creating and maintaining courses, generating and analyzing reports, applying software updates, and troubleshooting technical issues. This role will serve as a key liaison with LMS vendors and work closely with the product team on integration activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. LMS Maintenance and Updates:
  2. Update and maintain multiple LMS instances used for customers and employees.
  3. Apply software updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure the LMS is up-to-date and secure.
  4. Set up system preferences, configure system-wide settings, and customize the LMS interface to meet organizational needs.

Course Management:

  • Create and maintain courses across multiple LMS instances.
  • Ensure that training and compliance requirements are met and properly documented.
  • Track training completion and gather feedback to improve course effectiveness.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate and analyze reports on course completions, user activity, and system usage.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance learning outcomes and system performance.

Integration and Collaboration:

  • Work with the product team on continuing integration activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure training needs are met and system functionality aligns with organizational goals.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by users promptly.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users to enhance their experience with the LMS.

Vendor Management:

  • Communicate with LMS vendors for support, bug fixes, and feature requests.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor-related issues and updates.

Education & experience

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.

3-5 years in LMS administration or a related role.

Skills:

Proficiency with various LMS platforms.

Strong understanding of LMS configuration, customization, and maintenance.

Experience with software updates, patches, and system security.

Ability to generate and interpret reports and data.

Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Effective liaison with vendors and internal teams.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Experience with API integrations and data migration is a plus

Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for training programs s a plus

Certification in LMS administration or related fields is a plus

May require working outside regular business hours to support training events
