What will I be doing?

  • Develop and articulate a clear vision and strategic direction for our data products. Work closely with senior management to ensure alignment with the organization’s overall objectives and the specific needs of our customers.
  • Oversee the technical design and architectural decisions for building scalable and efficient data products. Ensure products are designed to leverage our data assets effectively.
  • Implement data governance frameworks and establish standards for data quality and consistency across Data Lake and other platforms. Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards.
  • Facilitate collaboration across engineering, data science, and business teams. Translate business needs into technical specifications and ensure that developed solutions meet these specifications.
  • Conduct user research to gather insights into user needs and pain points. Use this information to guide product development and prioritize features that deliver significant value to users.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators for data products to evaluate success and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Write detailed functional specifications and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver features release after release.

What skills do I need?

  • Has 10+ years of overall work experience and 3+ years of work experience in a Product Manager or Technical Product Manager role, with significant expertise in managing data products.
  • Strong technical understanding of Data Schemas, Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, and extensive experience with Data Lakes.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and managing large-scale data infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of current analytical technologies, data warehouse design and business intelligence best practices
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of explaining complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must have a good understanding of mobile, web and cloud technology space
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
