About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the SVP, Finance. In this dynamic position, you will manage all tax-related matters for our group of companies. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in shaping tax strategy while ensuring compliance with tax regulations, audits, and provisions with tax regulations. Key responsibilities include establishing tax policies, implementing procedures, conducting technical research, and communicating tax matters to executive leadership, internal stakeholders, and external partners.

What skills do you need?

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or CPA
  • 6+ years of experience relevant tax experience from a Big 4 firm
  • Experience working on Statutory compliances for subsidiaries of US Parent Companies.
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations for India subsidiaries of US companies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Experience working in India and US Corporate Tax and Sales Tax
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal, state and local reporting requirements. Desirable, but not essential, to have additional experience working with Australia, Canada and UK taxes.
  • Experience working within advanced ERP.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Google business applications. Also, should have worked on Tax software such as Avalara.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working for a US-based SaaS tech company.
  • Experience working for a Big 4 CPA firm (Deloitte / EY / PwC / KPMG).
  • Experience working in a management role.
  • Experience working with Avalara and NetSuite

What will you be doing?

  • Manage global tax filings and coordinate statutory tax audits across the US, India, Canada, Australia, and the UK
  • Respond to all tax related notices
  • Assist with GST, VAT, and sales tax filings for group companies.
  • Prepare and file all tax returns promptly and accurately, including income, sales, and other applicable taxes for group companies.
  • Work with Fintech Team to set out a Strategy for expansion to bill and file tax on Fintech transactions in all countries
  • Gather income tax return information and remit the advance taxes accordingly
  • Prepare Tax schedules and reconcile the tax ledgers
  • Work with external tax firms on transfer pricing arrangements and other initiatives.
  • Interact with varying government agencies on notices, audits, information request
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute tax functions effectively.
