Role Overview:

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented HR Intern – Operations & Payroll to join our HR team for a 6 months internship. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on exposure to core HR functions such as payroll processing, employee documentation, compliance, and data management. The selected candidate will be an integral part of day-to-day HR operations and will have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist in managing and maintaining employee lifecycle documentation (onboarding, exits, confirmation, etc.)
  • Support the payroll process by collecting, validating, and coordinating attendance and leave data
  • Help with statutory compliance checks, audit documentation, and HR reporting
  • Address employee queries related to payroll, HR policies, attendance, and leaves
  • Update HRIS and ensure database accuracy
  • Collaborate with Finance, HRBPs, and external vendors for smooth payroll processing
  • Create and maintain reports, trackers, and dashboards using Excel or Google Sheets
  • Participate in automation or HR process enhancement initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

  • MBA/BBA students or recent graduates with specialization in HR
  • Strong command of MS Excel/Google Sheets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
  • High learning agility and collaborative mindset
  • Basic understanding of payroll, HR compliance, or HRIS is a plus
