The Team Lead/Assistant Team Lead, Benefits will play a key role in supporting the administration and continuous improvement of Cvent’s benefits programs, ensuring they effectively support employee needs and align with the company’s Total Rewards strategy.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in benefits administration and strong operational rigor with the ability to improve processes and deliver an excellent employee experience.
In This Role, You Will:
- Benefits Administration: Support the administration of all benefits programs, including health benefits (medical, dental, vision), life & disability, and voluntary benefits
- Serve as a hands-on SME for the benefits team on enrollments, life events, claims questions, and complex employee scenarios; provide guidance and quality checks on transactions processed by the team
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of benefit elections, changes, and terminations in HRIS and vendor systems, maintaining a high standard of data quality and employee service
- Assist with research and analysis of plan options, costs, utilization trends, and employee feedback
- Develop and maintain accurate census data and other datasets needed for benefits renewals, benchmarking, and reporting.
- Global Leave Management: Support the Benefits team leave administrator in reviewing leave administration, respond to employee inquiries, assist with transitions to leave, and return to work
- Maintain strong day-to-day working relationships with third-party vendors (carriers, TPAs, wellness partners), collaborating on claims issues, escalations, and data integrity needs.
- Payroll Coordination: Collaborate with Payroll to reconcile benefit deductions, submit files according to the payroll schedule, and ensure accurate transmission to vendors.
- Data Integrity: Ensure accuracy of all benefit enrollments and provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. Update HRIS database with new and changing information; ensures accuracy and integrity of information. Responsible for employee benefit file maintenance and storage retention requirements.
- Assist with managing the wellness programs and developing content (e.g., newsletters, intranet updates, campaign materials) that promotes health and wellbeing offerings.
- Employee Service and Support: Act as an escalation point for complex employee inquiries and claims issues, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution in partnership with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Partner closely with other members of the Benefits team, HR Business Partners, Payroll, HRIS, Legal, and Finance to ensure aligned, compliant, and efficient administration of benefits programs.
- Identify and recommend process improvements, tools, and documentation enhancements to increase accuracy, scalability, and usability of benefits operations.
Here's What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in benefits administration, with leadership experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HRIS systems (such as Workday, ADP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to self-manage with minimal direction and resolve complex employee issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong relationship management abilities.
- Must have good working relationship management with employees and benefit providers and the ability to deal with complex employee issues relating to benefits
