Cvent’s Global Demand Center (GDC) is seeking a strategic, AI-focused marketer to drive our Marketing AI portfolio and AI Center of Excellence. In this high-impact role, you will set best practices and shape how Cvent realizes the full potential of AI in marketing by building trusted, responsible AI and automation that amplifies human creativity into measurable, repeatable growth.
In this role, you will define, prioritize, and govern marketing’s AI roadmap, ensuring initiatives are aligned to business priorities, technically sound, and compliant with enterprise standards. In This Role, You Will:
General Ledger & Consolidations
- Maintain and analyze general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Support period-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Assist with multi-entity / multi-currency consolidations and intercompany eliminations within Oracle EBS.
Revenue Recognition
- Support revenue recognition processes in alignment with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Work with business and accounting teams to validate revenue data, monitor deferrals, and ensure correct treatment in Oracle EBS.
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
- Partner with AR and AP teams to ensure timely, accurate processing of invoices, receipts, and payments in Oracle EBS.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to customer billing, collections, vendor invoices, credits, and adjustments.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Partner with GL team to optimize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow, variance and trend analyses to provide insights and recommendations to finance leadership.
- Support statutory, GAAP, and tax reporting requirements by gathering data, producing schedules, and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Serve as a functional expert in Oracle E‑Business Suite (GL, AR, AP, and related modules).
- Partner with IT and Finance to define requirements, test enhancements, and support system upgrades or integrations.
- Identify and help implement process improvements, automation, and controls to increase efficiency and data quality.
AI & Digital Enablement
- Drive adoption of AI capabilities within finance processes, including:
- AI-assisted reconciliations and anomaly detection in GL and subledgers
- Predictive analytics for revenue, cash flow, and expense forecasting
- Intelligent document processing for invoices and financial data extraction
- Natural language query/reporting tools to improve access to financial insights
- Partnering with IT to integrate AI solutions with Oracle EBS and adjacent system setups
Here's What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience as EBS functional analyst, GL accountant, or similar finance role.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle E‑Business Suite ERP (GL, AR, AP; exposure to other modules is a plus).
- Proven experience working with general ledgers, consolidations, revenue recognition, receivables, and payables.
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle EBS financial modules, including configuration, navigation, and reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of core accounting concepts (debits/credits, accruals, reconciliations, intercompany, consolidations).
- Proficiency in Excel and experience building and maintaining analytical models, reports, and reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, able to explain financial results and system behavior to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or similar) or progress toward certification.
- Prior involvement in statutory reporting, GAAP reporting, and/or tax reporting.
- Experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
- Experienced in financial systems projects such as Oracle R12 ERP implementations, upgrades, or process automation initiatives.
- Experience in configuring Oracle Modules - General Ledger, Payables/Payments, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Revenue Management, Sub Ledger Accounting and EBTax.
- Delivers accurate and timely financial data to support business decisions and external reporting.
- Acts as a trusted partner to Finance, Accounting, and IT by combining process knowledge with Oracle EBS expertise.
