AI at Cvent: Leading the Future
Are you ready to shape the future of work at the intersection of human expertise and AI innovation? At Cvent, AI isn’t just a tool—it’s embedded in how we operate and learn. We’re looking for leaders who are eager to evolve alongside technology. If you love to experiment, share what you learn, and define best practices for AI‑augmented work, you’ll thrive here. Our teams thoughtfully integrate AI into their day‑to‑day responsibilities, using it to deliver exceptional results while relying on the human judgment and creativity that drive real innovation.
The Internal Communications team is growing, and we’re looking for someone who’s as good at connecting dots as they are at crafting a message. As Team Lead, Internal Communications, you’ll help Cvent Nation stay informed and engaged on the tools and programs shaping how we work. You’ll bridge strategy and the everyday employee experience, working cross-functionally to make sure the right information reaches the right people — clearly and without getting lost in the noise.
This role has a particular focus on innovation and technology communications, making complex topics feel approachable and making sure no team gets left behind. It reports to Cvent’s Manager of Internal Communications & Strategy.
Throughout our interview process, you’ll have the chance to demonstrate how you use AI to learn, iterate, and amplify your impact. If you’re excited to be part of a team that’s leading the way in AI-powered collaboration, we’d love to meet you.
In This Role, You Will:
- Own an editorial calendar focused on innovation and technology programs, producing regular content (newsletters, Slack updates, intranet posts) that keeps Cventers informed and engaged.
- Translate complex, fast-moving topics into clear, on-brand content that resonates across a global workforce.
- Partner with stakeholders across the company to source stories, surface wins and opportunities, and keep messaging aligned.
- Work closely with our internal AI champions network to reduce silos and make sure information doesn’t stay stuck.
- Build reusable resources — FAQs, explainers, manager talking points — that help leaders communicate confidently about what’s changing and why.
- Track content performance and use data to sharpen what’s working.
- Use modern tools, including AI, to do your best work and show Cventers what that looks like in practice.
You Might Be a Good Fit If...
- Your favorite question is why — you ask it often, you ask it of everyone, and you don’t stop at the first answer.
- You’re naturally curious about how things connect, and you notice quickly when they don’t.
- You’ve been learning and building with AI tools for the past year or two — not because someone told you to, but because you want to know what’s possible and how it works.
- You think audience-first: what do they already know, how will this make them feel, what should they do next.
- You’re energized by a function still being built — you see blank space as opportunity.
Here's What You Need:
- 3–5 years in internal communications, corporate communications, social media, or a related field — we’re open to non-traditional paths if you can tell us a compelling story about why this role is the right next move.
- Exceptional writing skills; you make complex topics feel human without dumbing them down.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools in a professional context; we’re being realistic — this has been accessible for a few years, so we’re looking for people who jumped in early and kept going.
- A strong instinct for audience; you know that getting someone’s attention and keeping it are two different skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with stakeholders across levels, from individual contributors (ICs) to executives.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward iteration.
Nice to have:
- Background in change management, technology adoption, or employee experience.
- Familiarity with Slack, Box, Confluence, or similar enterprise tools.
- Experience with content analytics or engagement measurement.
