In This Role, You Will:

  • Requirement & Impact Analysis: Analyze new features and enhancements, participate in backlog grooming, clarify requirements early in sprints, and collaborate with developers on design, database changes, and performance/testing impacts.
  • Test Planning & Strategy: Define testing approaches aligned with project timelines, contribute to effort estimation, ensure JIRA compliance, and identify impact areas including database changes.
  • Test Design, Execution & Automation: Create, review, and execute test cases; support automation design and CI integration; manage defect reporting and tracking; perform regression and ad hoc testing; develop automation scripts and migration support; ensure accurate effort tracking and risk reporting.
  • Release & Feature Testing Support: Support sprint and release testing, coordinate with cross-functional teams, perform regression beyond automation scope, and proactively communicate risks and issues.
  • Agile Ceremonies & Team Collaboration: Participate in sprint ceremonies, contribute to requirement/design discussions, act as scrum master when required, and provide regular updates on progress, risks, and blockers.
  • Production Support: Investigate and resolve production issues, provide detailed analysis, collaborate on defect resolution within SLAs, and guide team members on impact assessment.

Here's What You Need:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field + 24 months of experience as Software Dev. Engr. in Test (SDET), Software Automation Engr., or similar role.
  • Skilled in Java and other modern programming languages
  • Strong knowledge of modern web and mobile architectures, including microservices and web services
  • Experienced with JavaScript (ES6/7) and front-end frameworks such as React and Redux
  • Proficient in test automation tools and scripting
  • Strong SQL expertise and experience with relational databases
  • Familiar with building and integrating Web APIs and services (SOAP/REST)
