Cvent is seeking a high-impact Manager, Public Relations to join our growing Corporate Communications team. As Cvent continues to expand its global reach, deepen its AI-first product innovation, and lead in an increasingly complex and fast-moving meetings and events landscape, the demand for a sophisticated, proactive communications presence has never been greater. This is a newly created role—one that will directly shape how Cvent engages with, and shows up in, the media and analyst communities that shape our industry’s narrative.

This role sits at the heart of Cvent’s external storytelling engine. You will own the day-to-day execution of all PR, awards and media relations activity—narrative development, product launch communications, and executive thought leadership—while supporting and enabling our US and European PR agencies. You will also support and help evolve Cvent’s analyst relations program, ensuring Cvent is consistently visible and top of mind with the analysts who shape our category.

As part of the core Corporate Marketing function that reports into the VP of Corporate Marketing, you will be the primary executor who brings the overall communications strategy (including brand messaging, awards/accolades, integrated media strategy, and broader PR/AR/Comms direction) to life. You are equally at home crafting a compelling media narrative, prepping a C-suite executive for an analyst briefing or keynote, managing agency relationships, maintaining Cvent’s corporate messaging and key statistics, and contributing to an earnings script. You hold yourself to high standards, and bring the energy and hunger to take Cvent’s communications team to new heights.


In This Role, You Will:

Public Relations & Media Relations

  • Own the execution of Cvent’s PR strategy across all narratives—company announcements, product news, thought leadership, event coverage, executive visibility, and industry storylines.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day manager for Cvent’s US and European PR agencies, driving accountability, setting clear priorities, and measuring outcomes. (The Director of Corp Comm will provide strategic direction and support.)
  • Set the standard for how Cvent shows up in the media — directing agency efforts to build and maintain relationships with key journalists, editors, and contacts across technology, B2B, events, and business press, while ensuring a strong editorial calendar and media contact strategy underpin all outreach.
  • Draft and edit press releases, bylines, op-eds, briefing materials, media FAQs, and spokesperson talking points.
  • Manage Cvent's corporate awards program — identifying opportunities, coordinating submissions, and tracking recognition across key technology, business, and industry publications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Technology/IT, Sales and Client Services teams to identify newsworthy moments and translate business milestones into compelling earned media opportunities.
  • Track media coverage, report on outcomes, and continuously optimize agency performance and press outreach effectiveness.
  • Support crisis communications preparation and execution as needed, in partnership with the Director of Corp Comm, PR agencies and Legal.
  • Serve as the primary Corporate Communications point of contact for Cvent's India-based PR team, providing regular direction, messaging guidance, and quality oversight for APAC and MEA coverage — ensuring regional output reflects Cvent's global narrative and brand standards.

Analyst Relations

  • Support Cvent’s analyst relations program, deepening engagement with top analysts at firms including Forrester, IDC, Gartner, and others relevant to the events technology and B2B SaaS landscape.
  • Develop and execute a proactive analyst engagement calendar—ensuring Cvent is consistently briefing, educating, and influencing the analysts who shape our category.
  • Track analyst coverage, rankings, and wave/report participation; flag opportunities for Cvent to be included in relevant evaluations.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to align AR messaging with product strategy and competitive positioning.

Corporate Messaging, Executive Support and Investor Relations

  • Own and maintain Cvent’s library of corporate statistics, key proof points, and boilerplate messaging—ensuring all materials reflect current, approved figures and positioning.
  • Provide support for executive keynote preparation, including narrative development, slide messaging, and speaker prep, in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with quarterly town hall materials, internal leadership announcements, and other executive communications as needed.
  • Serve as a writing partner for senior leaders on external-facing content, including speeches, op-eds, and contributed articles.
  • As applicable, support the preparation of earnings scripts, CEO and executive talking points, and Board meeting communications in collaboration with the Director of Corp Comm and Finance/IR teams.

Here's What You Need:

  • 7–10+ years of progressive communications experience spanning agency and in-house roles, with deep expertise in media relations, PR strategy, and executive communications.
  • Hands-on experience owning or co-owning analyst relations programs—including direct engagement with major firms.
  • Proven ability to manage and drive accountability from external PR agencies, including both US and international teams.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across multiple formats: press releases, executive talking points, bylines, briefing documents, media pitches, earnings scripts, and Board materials.
  • Experience supporting executive and investor relations communications, including All Hands, earnings scripts, CEO messaging, and Board-level preparation.
  • A collaborative, cross-functional working style—you know how to partner with Technology/IT, Marketing, Sales, CS, Legal, and Finance to surface the right story at the right time.
  • Results-driven mindset—you track metrics, report on outcomes, optimize programs, and are never satisfied with activity for activity’s sake.
  • Comfort operating with speed and precision in a high-accountability, fast-moving environment.
  • Familiarity with PR software, media monitoring tools, and analyst tracking/management platforms.
  • Background in B2B technology or SaaS is strongly preferred; events technology experience is a bonus.

The Following Would Offer a Strong Advantage:

  • Experience at a public company, including working with Investor Relations or supporting earnings-related communications.
  • Multilingual communication capabilities or experience managing European media markets.
  • Previous experience at or closely with a major technology industry analyst firm.
