In This Role, You Will:
About the role:
Cvent’s R&D is currently looking for a talented Lead Software Engineer to join our Microapps team.
The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of TypeScript, Java, GraphQL, Next.js, React,
Tailwind and experience leading a team that builds for builders. You should be a self-starter capable
of taking ambiguous requirements and coming up with a viable solution. You should also be able to
design scalable, high-performance solutions that empower our product development teams to
create world-class products. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to design, build,
maintain and support our Microapps team.
What you’ll be doing:
• Design solutions to complex problems, that are flexible, robust, and take into account
business needs.
• Work with modern Nrwl/Nx, JavaScript, Typescript, React, Tailwind, GraphQL and Java
tech stack.
• Collaborate with your Scrum Team in scoping, estimating, implementing, and testing new
features and fixes.
• Be communicative and reliable, so that others can depend on you.
• Delivery of features, improvements, and fixes in a timely, predictable cadence.
• Mentor other engineers on good practices, technologies, and patterns.
• Show up as a team member, encouraging others through example in collaboration,
productivity, effective communication, and love for details.
• Collaborate with some of the best engineers in the industry to work on complex Software
as a Service (Saas) based applications
Here's What You Need:
Primary Skills:
• Master+ in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, Typescript and Java.
• Experience developing with React as part of a team.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Experience prototyping quickly when needed.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and result-oriented culture
• Experience working with distributed teams.
• Experience in leading an engineering team
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Proven experience leading the strategic adoption of AI-assisted development tools and
agents (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, automation bots) across a team, including defining best
practices, integrating with existing SDLC/CI-CD workflows, and mentoring engineers on
effective and responsible use
