About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer 1 (SDE-1), you will be contributing to the development of Mihup’s web applications, delivering scalable, high-quality, and performant user interfaces. You will work in an agile, fast-paced environment, collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver impactful features that directly enhance the product experience.

This role gives you the opportunity to own smaller modules, actively contribute to larger features, and work with experienced engineers who will mentor and guide you as you grow your technical and problem-solving skills.

Key Problem Areas

● Building clean, modular UI components using modern frameworks.

● Ensuring fast, responsive user interfaces that perform well across devices.

● Working closely with backend, product, and design teams to align on requirements and technical decisions.

● Contributing to and learning from code reviews, with a focus on writing maintainable and well-documented code.

● Building UIs that can adapt to evolving product requirements and user needs.

Key Responsibilities

● Develop and test end-to-end UI features, keeping reusability and performance in mind.

● Work closely with product, design, backend, and QA teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.

● Contribute to code reviews, learning best practices from peers while ensuring quality in your own contributions.

● Identify opportunities for optimizing existing code, contributing to overall system efficiency.

● Collaborate in design discussions, bringing a frontend perspective to architectural decisions.

● Continuously learn and adopt new technologies to enhance your skills and improve team productivity.

Expectations

● Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

● 1-2 years of experience in enterprise UI development (including internships or significant projects).

● Hands-on experience with React, Redux, Typescript, HTML, and CSS.

● Basic understanding of browser internals, performance optimization, and debugging tools.

● Exposure to tools like Webpack or Parcel.

● Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and general programming concepts.

● Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team, communicate ideas clearly, and ask for help when needed.

● Eagerness to learn new technologies, seek feedback, and continuously improve your technical and problem-solving skills.

● Passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences through well-designed and performant interfaces.
