Position Overview:
The Chief Business Officer (CBO) will be a key member of the executive team, reporting directly to the CEO and driving operational excellence across all functions. This leader will be responsible for optimizing performance, enabling speed, scale, and efficiency, and aligning operations with the company's growth objectives. By overseeing multiple operations teams, the CBO will build and enable scalable processes, foster cross-functional alignment, and ensure a data-driven approach to decision-making. This role is critical to achieving operational efficiency, empowering teams, and accelerating the company's growth trajectory.
What you will do

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business operations strategy that aligns with the company's growth goals and customer-first approach.
  • Partner with executive leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics across all functions.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment on GTM strategies and execution, driving a seamless customer journey from acquisition to retention.
  • Provide executive-level insights on sales performance, identifying market trends and opportunities for expansion, guiding resource allocation and investment decisions.

Team Leadership & Cross Functional Alignment

  • Build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance excellence.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, including with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Product teams to enable revenue growth through data-driven insights, streamlined processes, and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborates extensively with the CEO, CFO, CTO, and CMO to ensure cohesive decision-making and strategic alignment.
  • Drive interlock with global field leaders, enablement stakeholders, product managers, and executive leadership to define a clear vision and strategy aligned to our growth objectives.

Operational Excellence:

  • Deliver operational excellence in pipeline, forecast, and reporting by delivering analytics and insights to Sales, CS, Marketing and Finance leadership that measure key business drivers.
  • Drive process enhancements and oversee the communication and coordination globally and cross-functionally, ensuring seamless internal alignment and a strategic, optimized approach to selling Sysdig's products.
  • Optimize end-to-end processes in deal management, pricing, contracts, and revenue recognition to ensure seamless execution from lead generation to revenue realization.
  • Design and implement scalable systems and technologies, streamlining cross-functional workflows.
  • Manage the internal tech stack (including but not limited toCRM, CPQ, and analytics tools ) to ensure systems are optimized and integrated across the organization.

Revenue Growth Enablement:

  • Oversee the entire order-to-cash lifecycle, including order management, invoicing, revenue recognition, collections, and cash application, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and SaaS-specific accounting standards.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive sales enablement strategy aligned with business goals to empower the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Oversee the adoption and usage of sales tools (e.g., CRM, sales engagement platforms) to enhance productivity, pipeline visibility, and deal success rates.
  • Develop, implement, and manage scalable, performance-driven sales compensation plans that align with business objectives and incentivize desired sales behaviors.

  • Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities, with experience managing diverse and global cross-functional teams.
  • Skilled in leading large-scale transformations and ensuring organizational adoption of new processes or systems.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.

What we look for

  • 15+ years of experience in operational leadership roles within high-growth SaaS companies, ideally in the cloud security space.
  • Proven expertise in leading operations, including but not limited to Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, Deal Desk, and Quote-to-Cash processes.
  • Deep understanding of GTM strategies, with a track record of driving revenue growth through operational excellence.
  • Experience with CRM and GTM tech stacks (e.g., Salesforce, CPQ tools, best of breed prospecting and sales analytics tools) is highly preferred.
