The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Engineer - Automation to join our Information Security Automation team. As a Security Engineer - Automation, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated security solutions and integrations to safeguard our organization's systems and data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our security posture and mitigate risks across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in security automation, extensive knowledge of industry best practices, and a passion for staying abreast of the latest security trends and emerging technologies.
You Are Great At:
- Design, develop, and implement processes to integrate and automate our security tools, including CMDB, SIEM, Endpoint Protection, and Vulnerability Scanning.
- Create and maintain security automation playbooks, scripts, and tools to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Ensure all automation processes are built for 24x7 availability and are consistently monitored.
- Develop processes, scripts, and dashboards in line with established standards to continuously monitor the health and performance of critical integration processes.
- Provide monthly metrics and KPIs for automation and integration processes, identify trends, and areas for improvement, and recommend enhancements.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security automation tools with their existing systems and applications.
What It Takes:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a closely related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in security automation, security operations, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or PowerShell for task automation, API interactions, and script creation.
- Knowledge of Secure Coding and DevOps practices, with experience using Visual Studio Code and Version Control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and analysis tools such as Splunk or Grafana to assess system performance and security.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex security challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with proven experience working in cross-functional global teams.
