Your Impact

As a key contributor, you will design, implement, and optimize DevOps tooling and automation across AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. Your work will include system architecture design, helping define scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions used across our cybersecurity product portfolio.

You’ll help solve meaningful challenges alongside a motivated team and gain exposure to advanced technologies. As a hands‑on engineer, coach, and DevOps advocate, you’ll influence teams to automate, shift left and accelerate delivery velocity.

As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will:

- Design and architect cloud‑based and hybrid systems with a focus on scalability, resilience, security, and performance.

- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure and services on AWS and/or GCP.

- Build, automate, and maintain highly efficient build ecosystems and cloud/virtual infrastructures.

- Design, deploy, manage, and maintain operational build and test pipelines across multiple teams.

- Partner with development teams to create cloud‑native CI/CD automation and tooling.

- Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems for cloud and build infrastructure.

- Ensure the stability, scalability, and availability of CI/CD pipelines and cloud services.

- Troubleshoot and triage cloud, infrastructure, and pipeline failures.

- Build tools and processes that improve automation, reliability, and developer velocity.

What You Need to Succeed:

Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure

- Deep expertise with AWS and/or GCP, including designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud‑based systems.

- Strong experience with cloud architecture patterns (microservices, serverless, distributed systems).

- Hands‑on experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), networking, observability, container services, and cloud security concepts.

- Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience (Terraform, Terragrunt preferred).

System Architecture Design

- Ability to architect end‑to‑end systems, considering performance, scalability, cost, security, and operational excellence.

- Experience creating technical architectural diagrams, design documents, and system‑level specifications.

- Understanding of distributed systems, API design, load balancing, HA/DR patterns, and scalability strategies.

CI/CD & DevOps Expertise

- CI/CD: GitLab, Jenkins

- GitOps: Argo CD, Flux CD

- Container orchestration: Kubernetes.

- Automation/configuration: Ansible.

Strong Technical Skills

- Scripting: Java, Python, Groovy, Bash, Ruby.

- Development background in Java, C++, C#

- Ability to configure cross‑platform build systems (e.g., Maven, CMake).

Tool & Infrastructure Knowledge

- Git, SVN, Artifactory.

- Fortify, Coverity, SonarQube.

- vCloud (with AWS/GCP experience strongly preferred).

Monitoring, Logging & Security

- Experience with logging/analytics tools such as Grafana.

- Understanding of networking, cloud security, and DNS.

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we’re happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.

Salary Range: $118000 - $177000; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
