The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director of Southeast Asia Channels & Alliances, the Strategic Alliance Manager (SAM) is the driving force behind our SAP partnership strategy in Southeast Asia. You will work closely with the SAP field organization to uncover joint sales opportunities and bring the power of OpenText and SAP solutions to customers navigating complex digital transformation journeys.
This role is based in Singapore with some requirements for travel.
At this time, we will be prioritizing candidates who do not require sponsorship to work in Singapore.
What You Are Great At:
- Develop and execute a regional plan to attain and manage pipeline and revenue goals for the region
- Participate in joint activities to create pipeline—networking, joint planning, and targeted sales campaigns in their territory
- Support SAP and OpenText Account Executives to evaluate and diagnose customer requirements to qualify opportunity fit for OpenText’s suite of SAP solutions
- Manage relations and interface with key SAP field stakeholders to create high-value, field-level relationships that ensure adequate pipeline to meet revenue goals
- Co-sell OpenText SAP solutions with OpenText and SAP Account Executives
- Engagement with licensed customers to ensure project success, customer references, ensuring OpenText is part of their future roadmap and spotting opportunities for up-sell and cross-sell
What You Need to Succeed:
- Minimum of 5+ experience in field sales experience or related partner management and partner sales experience
- Demonstrated track record to meet or exceed quotas, either in direct field sales roles or in partner management/partner sales roles
- Experience working with license Sales teams at SAP is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to operate with all levels of an organisation from CEO/MD down and with a high degree of diplomacy
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional Sales, Marketing and related teams to achieve objectives while operating as a team player
- Strong written and verbal skills including communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience in the development of enabling programs for sales and partner channel
- Demonstrated ability to articulate, communicate and educate external audiences including partners and customers, on the business-level value propositions of complex solutions and/or related software solution offerings
- Experience across Asia Pacific markets outside Southeast Asia are advantageous
- Fluent in English. Fluency in additional languages used in Southeast Asia region is beneficial
