YOUR IMPACT

The Global Sourcing and Contract Management team at OpenText plays a critical role in strengthening vendor partnerships and ensuring teams across the business have the resources they need to succeed. In this role, you’ll lead a high‑performing sourcing team, driving end‑to‑end initiatives across categories such as Marketing and Events and Corporate Professional Services, from strategy development and supplier selection through contract negotiation and stakeholder management.

You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional partners in Finance, Legal, and beyond, influencing category strategies, delivering value, and supporting key business priorities. As OpenText continues to evolve its Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, this role offers a unique opportunity to act as a trusted advisor, champion change, and make a meaningful impact within a global, innovative organization.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of client business objectives and support in creating and executing an annual category strategy and procurement roadmap for the Marketing and Events categories.
  • Lead and develop a high performing Sourcing team responsible for proactively managing their relationships and pipeline.
  • sourcing activity and results for assigned categories.
  • Benchmarking and identifying key industry trends, which impact assigned categories and/or other products/services as assigned.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency and lead cross-functional teams through major/complex sourcing initiatives, planning & execution of the RFx process, leading commercial negotiations and delivering results.
  • Accurate and detailed monthly reporting of sourcing opportunities and achieved savings.
  • Support the identification of acquisition, integration, and post-merger contract and synergies.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

    • Exceptional team mentoring/leadership skills
    • Category Management and Sourcing experience, including deep understanding of Strategic Sourcing best practices.
    • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities
    • Post-merger and acquisition integration experience considered an asse
    • Minimum of 8+ years of Strategic Sourcing and Category Management / Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Business/Commerce, MBA, LLB, Engineering or Supply Chain management preferred. Professional designation/certification in Supply Chain Management (PMAC SCMP / CPP, ISM) and/or PMP an asset.
    • PC skills: Knowledge of accounting/workflow systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle), MS Office

Salary Range: $97,090 - $147,090; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
