The Open Text Professional Services team is comprised of more than 3,000 consultants who function as trusted advisors, managing long-lasting relationships with more than 100,000 customers around the world. As a Senior Consultant at OpenText Professional Services team you will play a key role in creating and delivering strategic, impactful, and integrated digital solutions for clients using a combination of OpenText technologies. This role offers an opportunity to leverage your expertise in SAP ABAP, OpenText VIM configuration, basic knowledge of SAP business processes and integration to deliver seamless solutions that bridge the world of information and business application.


What the role offers:

  • Engage with enterprise architects, business, and IT stakeholders to understand business processes, technology landscape, and requirements, and define integrated digital solutions.
  • Plan and conduct business and technical workshops to elicit, analyze, and document complex functional and technical requirements.
  • Analyze customer requirements, evaluate solution options, and design robust, scalable, and foolproof architecture and solution designs.
  • Create comprehensive solution documentation across the SDLC, including business requirements, solution blueprints, high- and low-level designs, and deployment/configuration guides.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and client teams to support planning, implementation, acceptance, and rollout of solutions.
  • Configure and integrate OpenText VIM and related components with SAP and OpenText solutions (BCC, IC4S, Archive Center, Enterprise Scan, and Document Pipeline); assess change impacts and support releases and migrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex functional and technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and mentor junior team members with technical and professional guidance.

What you need to succeed:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate with 6-9 years of professional experience in designing medium to complex digital enterprise solutions in the areas OpenText products like VIM, BCC, IC4S, Archive Center.
  • Excellent consulting skills – engagement, articulation, elicitation and influencing.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills - stakeholder management, relationship building and negotiation – with strategic focus.
  • Software configuration and programming knowledge, e.g., ABAP Programming, Data Dictionary, OOABAP, Fiori & Development RICEF objects.
  • Basic knowledge in SAP MM (handling PO, GR, SES etc.) and FI modules with Invoice posting/blocking/parking scenarios.
  • Experience in OpenText VIM installations, upgrades & Patching, Migrations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentations skills.
  • Willingness to travel within India and globally.
