The Fulfillment Team at OpenText is responsible for delivering and managing software entitlement and licensing capabilities through custom-built solutions that support both cloud and off‑cloud offerings. This team designs, develops, and operates end‑to‑end fulfillment platforms that enable accurate product provisioning, license management, and customer entitlement across OpenText’s diverse portfolio. Their work ensures seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems, enforces governance and compliance standards, and supports scalable, flexible fulfillment models that align with evolving business and product strategies.

Your Impact

We are looking for a highly experienced Software Engineer with strong AI/ML knowledge to serve dozens of products and thousands of global customers. This role is a critical technical leadership position within the group, responsible for guiding the team into AI adoption, ensuring high quality software delivery, and shaping our go-forward architecture and design.

What the Role Offers

As a Lead IT Software Developer, you will

  • Act as a technical authority across the team, ensuring alignment with best practices in software engineering, architecture, and design.
  • Drive AI/ML awareness and capability across the group, helping upskill engineers and identify impactful use cases.
  • Conduct design and architecture reviews, contributing hands-on to system design for current and future solutions.
  • Oversee code quality and engineering standards through code reviews, mentorship, and collaboration with delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with product, DevOps, and QA to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.
  • Serve as a technical mentor and coach for engineers across multiple teams.
  • Proactively evaluate and introduce new technologies and approaches that align with our roadmap and platform evolution.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior/principal role.
  • Deep proficiency in Java or other modern Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages with a mastery of design patterns and clean code principles.
  • Hands-on experience with AI technologies, frameworks, and practical use case integration.Proven experience developing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines that integrate LLMs with vector databases to retrieve relevant enterprise data to customers.
  • Proven expertise in system architecture, scalable design, and cloud-native development.
  • Experience conducting code and architecture reviews at scale.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence and elevate the technical bar across teams.
  • Experience with large scale data systems, MLOps, or AI model lifecycle management.
  • Understanding of modern development practices: CI/CD, microservices, containers, infrastructure as code.
  • Prior work in a SaaS or enterprise cloud platform environment.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance requirements is a plus.

Salary Range: $90,080 - $147,120; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
