Your Impact:

As a member of OpenText’s Finance team, the Manager, Accounting is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting through oversight and review of core accounting activities. This role focuses on leading a team, reviewing and approving work, and maintaining strong internal controls to support close, audit, and reporting requirements. The Finance Manager applies sound judgment, promotes best practices, and drives continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and reporting to support effective execution across the team.

What The Role Offers:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of accountants while fostering accountability, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement; review and approve monthly journal entries to ensure accurate and timely general ledger recording Oversee month‑over‑month and quarter‑over‑quarter variance analysis for key balance sheet and P&L accounts and clearly communicate insights to management

  • Own the balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring reconciliations are current, well‑documented, and that aged or historical items are resolved promptly, while ensuring SOX compliance and strong internal controls

  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, drive process and automation enhancements, and collaborate with Finance and other stakeholders to support accurate reporting and business alignment

  • Serve as a key contact for internal and external auditors during quarter‑end and year‑end reviews, and lead or support special projects including system implementations, process improvements, and integration activities

What You Need To Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, CPA required, with 8+ years of progressive accounting experience and strong US GAAP knowledge; experience in complex global organizations and exposure to foreign exchange is an asset

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop high‑performing teams, supported by strong analytical, decision‑making, problem‑solving, and issue‑resolution skills with high attention to detail

  • Proven capability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast‑paced, evolving environment while working independently with minimal supervision and contributing as a strong team player

  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills, with sound judgment and the ability to work effectively across functions

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and required SAP experience

Salary Range: $92,320- 138,480 Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
