What the role offers

  • Expert knowledge of SAP Security and Authorizations – User & Role management.
  • Participate and assist in requirement gathering, design, configuration and support of Security for SAP Solutions across the SAP implementation lifecycle.
  • Understand business processes, user needs and perform security configuration and maintenance tasks for SAP ECC, HANA, BW/BI, Portal, Business Objects, Solution Manager, PI, and GRC systems.
  • Ability to collaborate with SAP Functional and SAP Technical teams to design and implement technical SAP security solutions
  • Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions and access rights
  • Assist in detailed documentation pertaining to SAP Security policies & procedures including segregation of duties
  • Analyze security requests and make role recommendations to business and project team members;
  • Responsible for regular support activities (user provisioning, role/group assignment, role testing, mitigating control assignments, GRC ruleset updates, terminations, etc.);
  • Troubleshoot of authorization issues, including analysis, remediation, follow up and closure;
  • Ensure security configuration compliance with SOX standards across the landscape;

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s\master’s degree in management information systems, computer science, and/or business. SAP technical certification would be a plus.
  • A Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in SAP Security design and implementation and support.
  • Thorough understanding of SAP Security design concepts and implementation.
  • Hands-on experience from a security point of view with a majority of the following technologies (SAP ECC, BI/BW and HANA BOBJ).
  • Experience in administration and maintenance of end user accounts, permissions and access rights
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to SAP Security.
  • Experience in supporting Unit, Integration, and User Acceptance testing
  • Good understanding of Internal Controls / Segregation of Duties Framework
  • Experience with SAP GRC implementation preferred.
  • Experience in working with end-users to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Ability to evaluate basic risk management approaches
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • A high standard for work ethic and quality is required
