The Opportunity
The Strategic Solution Sales Executive (Cyber) is a senior enterprise sales specialist responsible for driving Cybersecurity solution growth across a portfolio of strategic enterprise and public sector customers throughout Germany. Partnering closely with Client Executives, the Strategic Solution Sales Executive develops account-specific cybersecurity strategies, identifies transformational opportunities, and positions the OpenText Cybersecurity portfolio to address customers' evolving security, compliance, and cyber resilience requirements.
The portfolio spans some of Germany's largest organisations across the Public Sector, Defence, Critical Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Automotive, Industrial Engineering, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Energy and Utilities sectors. Strategic customers include Siemens AG, Siemens Energy AG, Volkswagen AG, Robert Bosch, Rheinmetall AG, Heidelberg Materials AG, Krones AG, Magna International, Schaeffler Group, Miele & Cie. KG, Rosenberger GmbH & Co. KG, Brose Fahrzeugteile SE & Co. KG, WILO SE, Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Voith Paper GmbH & Co. KG, Vibracoustic SE, Debeka, BARMER, Versicherungskammer Bayern, Norddeutsche Landesbank (NORD/LB), Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW), Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund, Deutsche Gesetzliche Unfallversicherung (DGUV), BG BAU, Agaplesion, and numerous German Federal Ministries, State Governments (Bundesländer), and Public Sector organisations.
Working collaboratively with Client Executives, Solutions Consultants, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Partner teams, the Strategic Solution Sales Executive acts as the Cybersecurity subject matter expert, leading customer engagements from discovery through solution design, executive presentations, commercial negotiations, and successful close.
The role requires a consultative, outcome-based sales approach focused on helping customers strengthen cyber resilience, modernise security operations, protect critical information assets, achieve regulatory compliance, and reduce enterprise risk through the OpenText Cybersecurity portfolio.
You Are Great At
Strategic Cybersecurity Sales
- Driving Cybersecurity software, cloud and subscription revenue across a portfolio of strategic enterprise and public sector customers.
- Developing Cybersecurity account strategies aligned with customer security roadmaps, digital transformation initiatives and regulatory requirements.
- Partnering with Client Executives to identify whitespace opportunities and accelerate strategic account growth.
- Building trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, Chief Risk Officers, Security Architects, IT Leadership and executive business stakeholders.
- Positioning OpenText Cybersecurity solutions to address identity and access management, endpoint security, threat detection and response, application security, data protection, compliance, governance and cyber resilience.
Enterprise Solution Leadership
- Leading complex cybersecurity sales cycles from opportunity identification through executive engagement, solution positioning, commercial negotiation and successful close.
- Delivering executive-level presentations, workshops and value-based business discussions with enterprise customers.
- Collaborating with Professional Services, Customer Success, Product Management and strategic partners to deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Supporting large, multi-million-euro enterprise opportunities across strategic accounts within Manufacturing, Automotive, Defence, Government, Healthcare, Banking, Insurance and Critical Infrastructure.
Business Growth
- Achieving and exceeding annual software, cloud and recurring revenue targets.
- Expanding OpenText's cybersecurity footprint across existing enterprise customers through cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
- Developing long-term cybersecurity transformation strategies that position OpenText as a trusted strategic advisor.
- Maintaining accurate pipeline management, forecasting and opportunity progression while contributing to regional growth objectives.
