The Opportunity
The Strategic Solution Sales Executive (Cyber) is a senior enterprise sales specialist responsible for driving Cybersecurity solution growth across a portfolio of strategic enterprise customers within Germany's largest industrial organisations. Working in close partnership with Client Executives, the Strategic Solution Sales Executive develops cybersecurity strategies that strengthen customer resilience, accelerate digital transformation, and position the OpenText Cybersecurity portfolio as a critical component of customers' security and risk management strategies.
The portfolio consists of some of Europe's leading organisations across the Automotive, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace & Defence, Industrial Technology, Engineering, Retail & Consumer Goods and Advanced Manufacturing sectors. Strategic customers include adidas AG, Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Rheinmetall AG, Siemens AG, thyssenkrupp AG, Volkswagen AG, Rosenberger GmbH & Co. KG, Schaeffler Group, TK Elevator, Brose Fahrzeugteile SE & Co. KG, WILO SE and the Carl Zeiss Foundation.
Working collaboratively with Client Executives, Solutions Consultants, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Partner teams, the Strategic Solution Sales Executive serves as the Cybersecurity subject matter expert, leading strategic customer engagements, executive discussions, solution positioning, and complex enterprise sales opportunities across the OpenText Cybersecurity portfolio.
The role requires a consultative, value-led approach focused on helping customers strengthen cyber resilience, secure critical business operations, protect intellectual property, modernise security operations, achieve regulatory compliance, and reduce enterprise risk while supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives. OpenText Cybersecurity provides integrated solutions spanning identity and access management, application security, security operations, data protection, compliance, and cyber resilience.
You Are Great At
Strategic Cybersecurity Sales
- Driving Cybersecurity software, cloud and subscription revenue across a portfolio of strategic enterprise customers.
- Developing cybersecurity account strategies aligned with customers' digital transformation, operational technology (OT), Industry 4.0, cloud security and cyber resilience initiatives.
- Partnering with Client Executives to identify whitespace opportunities and expand OpenText's cybersecurity footprint across strategic accounts.
- Building trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, Chief Digital Officers, Security Architects, Risk Leaders and executive business stakeholders.
- Positioning OpenText Cybersecurity solutions across identity and access management, endpoint security, application security, data protection, threat detection and response, governance, compliance and cyber resilience.
Enterprise Solution Leadership
- Leading complex enterprise cybersecurity opportunities from qualification through executive engagement, solution design, commercial negotiation and successful close.
- Delivering executive-level business value discussions, security workshops and customer presentations.
- Collaborating with Professional Services, Customer Success, Product Management, Strategic Partners and Client Executives to deliver successful customer outcomes.
- Supporting multi-million-euro cybersecurity opportunities across strategic accounts within the Automotive, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Defence, Retail and Industrial Technology sectors.
Business Growth
- Achieving and exceeding annual software, cloud and recurring revenue targets.
- Developing long-term cybersecurity transformation roadmaps that align OpenText's portfolio with customers' strategic business objectives.
- Expanding OpenText's presence through cross-sell, upsell and strategic account development initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate forecasting, pipeline management and opportunity progression while contributing to regional growth and strategic account success.
