The Opportunity

The Strategic Solution Sales Executive (Business Network Cloud) is a senior enterprise sales specialist responsible for driving strategic account growth across a portfolio of high-value enterprise customers. Working in close partnership with Client Executives, the Strategic Solution Sales Executive develops and executes account-specific solution strategies that expand OpenText's footprint, strengthen executive relationships, and deliver measurable business outcomes through the Business Network Cloud portfolio.

Managing a focused portfolio of strategic accounts, the Strategic Solution Sales Executive serves as the Business Network subject matter expert, helping customers modernise digital supply chains, optimise B2B integration, streamline trading partner collaboration, and accelerate enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.

The portfolio spans leading organisations across the Manufacturing & Industrial, Financial Services & Insurance, Technology & Telecommunications, Consumer Industries, Public Sector, and Logistics & Transportation sectors.

Working collaboratively with Client Executives, Solution Consultants, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product Management and Partner teams, the Strategic Solution Sales Executive leads complex enterprise engagements from opportunity identification through executive presentations, solution strategy, commercial negotiations and successful close.

The role requires a consultative, value-based sales approach focused on aligning OpenText Business Network Cloud solutions with customers' strategic business priorities, enabling supply chain resilience, operational efficiency, compliance, and sustainable business growth.

You Are Great At

Strategic Account Leadership

  • Developing and executing account strategies for a portfolio of strategic enterprise customers.

  • Building multi-year growth plans aligned with customers' digital transformation, supply chain and procurement strategies.

  • Establishing trusted relationships with C-level executives, Supply Chain Leaders, Procurement Executives, CIOs, Finance Leaders and Operations stakeholders.

  • Identifying whitespace opportunities and driving expansion across the OpenText Business Network Cloud portfolio.

  • Leading account planning activities in collaboration with Client Executives and the broader account team.

Solution Sales Leadership

  • Driving software, cloud, services and recurring subscription revenue across strategic accounts.

  • Positioning OpenText Business Network Cloud solutions including B2B Integration, EDI, Managed File Transfer, API Integration, e-Invoicing, eProcurement, Digital Supply Chain, Supply Chain Visibility, Financial Messaging and Trading Partner Networks.

  • Leading complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles from discovery through executive engagement, solution positioning, commercial negotiation and successful close.

  • Delivering executive-level business value discussions, workshops and solution presentations that demonstrate measurable customer outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partnering closely with Client Executives, Solution Consultants, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product Management and Channel Partners to deliver successful customer outcomes.

  • Supporting strategic account planning, executive engagement programmes and customer success initiatives.

  • Acting as the Business Network Cloud specialist across regional and global account teams.

Business Growth

  • Achieving and exceeding annual software, cloud, services and recurring revenue targets.

  • Developing long-term Business Network transformation roadmaps aligned with customers' strategic business objectives.

  • Expanding OpenText's Business Network footprint through cross-sell, upsell and strategic account expansion initiatives.

  • Maintaining accurate pipeline management, forecasting and opportunity progression while contributing to regional and global growth objectives.

What It Takes

  • Proven experience selling enterprise software, SaaS or cloud solutions into large, complex organisations.

  • Demonstrated success managing strategic enterprise sales opportunities involving executive stakeholders and multiple decision makers.

  • Strong understanding of digital supply chains, B2B integration, enterprise integration, procurement transformation or related business processes.

  • Ability to build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and lead consultative, value-based sales engagements.

  • Experience collaborating within matrix organisations alongside Client Executives, Solution Consultants and Customer Success teams.

  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and executive communication skills.

  • Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) is required.

  • Willingness to travel as required to support strategic customer engagements.
