Position Summary
OpenText is seeking a high-performing Strategic Senior Solution Sales Executive – Cybersecurity to drive growth across a portfolio of enterprise cybersecurity solutions. This role is responsible for acquiring new customers, expanding existing relationships, and leading complex security transformation opportunities within large enterprise accounts.
The successful candidate will work with C-level executives, security leaders, and business stakeholders to understand strategic priorities and position OpenText's cybersecurity solutions to address evolving cyber risk, compliance, and resilience challenges. The role requires a consultative sales approach, strong executive presence, and a proven ability to consistently exceed revenue targets in enterprise software sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve and exceed annual revenue targets.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across targeted enterprise accounts.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with CISOs, CIOs, security leaders, and executive stakeholders.
- Lead complex sales cycles from prospecting through negotiation and contract closure.
- Position OpenText cybersecurity solutions to address customer challenges related to threat detection, security operations, risk management, compliance, identity security, and cyber resilience.
- Collaborate with pre-sales, product specialists, professional services, channel partners, and customer success teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.
- Drive executive-level conversations focused on business value, risk mitigation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast while managing opportunities through the sales lifecycle.
- Develop and execute territory and account growth strategies to increase market share and customer penetration.
- Represent OpenText at industry events, executive briefings, and customer meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience with a strong focus on cybersecurity, information security, or related technology solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding quota in enterprise sales environments.
- Experience selling to large enterprise and strategic accounts.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity market trends, security operations, threat management, compliance, identity and access management, or cyber resilience solutions.
- Experience engaging with C-suite executives and senior business stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Experience working in a matrixed, global organization preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Enterprise cybersecurity software vendors.
- Security Operations (SOC), SIEM, threat intelligence, endpoint security, identity security, data protection, or cyber resilience solutions.
- Financial Services, Manufacturing, Public Sector, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or other regulated industries.
