YOUR IMPACT:

As a Lead Senior Software Engineer at OpenText, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of enterprise software solutions within an Agile development environment. You will analyze requirements, identify technical risks, develop high-quality software, and help ensure solutions meet standards for performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

You will work closely with teams across geographies, take ownership of complex technical challenges, and drive assigned work through to completion. Your strong technical and analytical skills will be critical in resolving complex defects and customer challenges.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:

• Analyze requirements, identify potential risks, and recommend solutions to minimize user impact.

• Translate requirements into implementation plans, including effort estimates and task breakdowns.

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software in line with technical specifications.

• Participate throughout the software development lifecycle within an Agile team.

• Collaborate with engineering teams across different geographies.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects and customer issues.

• Participate in software design and code reviews to maintain quality and engineering standards.

• Address technical considerations related to application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

• Work with cloud platforms and modern container technologies.

• Contribute to database migration and performance optimization activities.

• Drive assigned work independently and ensure deliverables are completed on time.

What you will need to succeed:

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MCA, or a related discipline.

• 8–12 years of software development experience.

• Strong programming knowledge in C++ and Java.

• Strong understanding of data structures and object-oriented programming.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms.

• Good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Good understanding of Unix, databases, and RDBMS concepts.

• Experience with database migration and performance optimization.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of Agile development and CI/CD practices.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments through to completion.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with DevSecOps practices.

• Experience working with multiple cloud platforms.

• Experience addressing application performance, reliability, scalability, and security challenges.

• Strong interest in learning new technologies and improving technical capabilities.
